  • Reader's Notebooks (Find October Entries)
    • Label the beginning of the 2nd Nine Weeks
      • You should have 6-9 October Entries
      • Mark the Beginning of the 2nd Nine Weeks*
    • 2-3 entries using stems EVERY WEEK
    • Independent Reading Log: Should contain a SAMPLE..
      • Take one entry and extend your thinking.  Be reflective and responsive.
  • Class Notebook/Journal (Find Last Entry From 1st Nine Weeks)
    • Label the beginning of the 2nd Nine Weeks
  • Immediate Grade for having TWO notebooks marked and ready to go for 2nd Nine Weeks.
  • Grades for 2nd Nine Weeks: Averaging the Semester Grade

  • Table of Contents on page 5
  • Learning Focus on page 57.

5. Write a detailed description of what you think this half of the unit will be about at the bottom of page 57.

6. Preview the Embedded Assessment on pages 99-101.
  • Highlight Key Skills (color #1 or CIRCLE)
  • Highlight Key Knowledge (color #2 or UNDERLINE)
7. In your Class Journal, create a Web representing the EA.

8. At the bottom of page 100, write a summary of the key skills and knowledge needed to be successful on the EA #2.
