Opening:
1. Have a highlighter and your Journal out.

2. Share your Compare/Contrast Paragraphs with a partner

  • Is the organization consistent
    • Feature by Feature
    • Subject by Subject
  • Highlight a sentence that could benefit from more details or commentary
3. Return the paragraphs back to your partner, then revise the sentence highlighted on your paper.

Work Period:
4. Find a new partner in the room and sit with him/her.  Turn to page 73.

5. Share your textual evidence for each of the FIVE ATTRIBUTES

  • Share your drawing of each attribute and discuss
    • PURPOSE of your Choices
      • Angle
      • Framing
      • Lighting
    • EFFECT on AUDIENCE
      • What does each choice do to the intended audience?
