Two Options for what you turn in:
A. Create a draft of the Epilogue.
B. Write at least ONE paragraph comparing and contrasting Jonas from the beginning of the novel through Chapter 20 (if you have read through 23, you can use evidence from the falling action and resolution as well).
Using the prewriting suggestions on page 79 to plan for writing the "Epilogue" to The Giver. All students must do the PLANNING on pages 78 and 79.
Two Options for what you turn in:

2. Begin a shared reading of Lois Lowry's Newbery Acceptance Speech on pages 80-88:
- Highlight the text anytime that Lowry refers to a river, its tributaries, and any other water imagery.
- Think about: What was Lowry's "Writer's Journey"?
